EEGOREAD has shared more details on the specs and potential pricing of the EEGOREAD P4. As a reminder, the EEGOREAD P4 goes on early bird sale in China on Friday Sept 11th. They also compared it against, what looks to be an XTEINK device. The rivalry between EEGOREAD and XTEINK has been, let’s say, more than active with both companies slugging it out on social media.
EEGOREAD P4 Specs
- Processor: Quad‑core (model not listed)
- Resolution: 238 PPI
- RAM: 3 GB
- Wi‑Fi: 2.4 & 5 GHz
- Battery: 2000 mAh
The price is the standout, at RMB3XX? Let’s assume it’s RMB399, that would make it around USD$60. These are local domestic China prices, but that’s a class leading price point.
As for the processor, it’s not listed. With the reference to Quad Core and 3GB on board, it’s not an ESP32 processor. If I had to guess, it might be a Rockchip RK3566 (yes, that’s where that other 3566 device gets its name). The Rockchip RK3566 is a quad‑core Cortex‑A55 processor and it supports 3–4 GB RAM.
The big challenge though is EEGOREAD’s ability to meet supply demands. Their A4 Pro only ever ships in limited runs and EEGOREAD have never been able to scale production.
